To frame or not?
A hand-lettered poster by artist Ben Shahn (1889–1969). The image was found in the outstanding Milton Glaser Design Study Center and Archives’ blog, containerlist. The above is page 64 of Love and Joy About Letters by Ben Shahn. New York: Grossman Publishers, 1963.
There’s no numeral in this one, but I can’t resist also posting my favorite Shahn drawing:
